Sensei Jeff Boyce
Mr. Boyce was born in Montreal, Quebec in December of 1965. In 1979 he moved to Ontario. In 1985 he was introduced to Karate while attending McMaster University. He hasn't looked back since.
After graduating, Mr. Boyce continued to train in Brampton, Onario under Shihan Brain Cyr from 1988-2009. The focus of his training was Goju Ryu Karate, Jiu Jitsu, Kobudo (weapons), Escrima and Tai Chi (Yang style). During this time Mr. Boyce was awarded his Yondan (4th) Dan in Karate.
Over the course of his training, Sensei Boyce has had the opportunity to train with many of the most respected Martial Arts instructors in the world:
In 2009, after 17 years of owning a successful Dojo, Sensei Boyce had the extreme pleasure of meeting Shihan Ron Yamanaka. Shihan Yamanaka currently holds some of the highest title ranks and positions in the Martial Arts world and his lineage is second to none. Shihan Yamanaka is the founder of YKKF and is Sensei Boyces's personal mentor. Sensei Boyce is proud to continue his training with Shihan Yamanaka and looks forward to many more years of training and information which he will pass on to his loyal students.
